Patrycja Longawa was born on 9th February 1988 in Sanok. In 2010, she completed a bachelor's degree in the field of artistic education at Jan Grodek State School of Higher Education in Sanok (diploma thesis supervised by prof. zw. Stanisław Białogłowicz). In 2012, she received a Master of Arts degree at the Faculty of Art at the University of Rzeszów (specialization in artistic education, specialization in painting in the Painting Studio of prof. Jadwiga Szmyd-Sikora). In 2013, she completed the second major in graphic design and defended a diploma awarded in the Digital Printing Studio under the direction of dr. hab. Joanna Janowska-Augustyn at the Art Department of the University of Rzeszów. She also created a poster diploma in Design Studio II under the direction of dr. hab. Wiesław Grzegorczyk, prof. at UR (University of Rzeszów). The diploma in graphic techniques was nominated for the Jerzy Panek prize for the best artistic diploma of the Art Department of the University of Rzeszów in 2013.
Patrycja Longawa creates illustrations, drawings, graphics, posters and satirical drawings. She has presenteded her work at about 380 exhibitions at home and abroad, m.in. in Sanok, Gliwice, Dejherów, Gdańsk, Rzeszów, Toruń, Krosno, Cieszyn, Żyrardow, Warszawa, Częstochowa, Bielsko-Biala, Łódź, Płock, Radom, Wrocław and 40 countries (Australia, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Belarus, Bolivia, Brazil, Bulgaria, China, Cyprus, Ecuador, Estonia, France, Greece, Spain, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Iran, India, Japan, Korea, Kosovo, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Macedonia, Macau Moldova, Mexico, Germany, Peru, Russia, Romania, Slovakia, Taiwan, Turkey, Ukraine, USA, Venezuela, Hungary, Italy, United Arab Emirates). Her work has taken part in numerous prestigious reviews and exhibitions, including among others: Moscow Poster Competition, 2018 Internationale Plakatausstellung Leipzig 2014, Golden Bee 12, 2016, Ecuador Poster Biennial 2018, Bienal Internacional del Cartel en México 2018, Biennial of Poster Bolivia 2016, International Poster Biennale Lublin 2017 i 2019, Ogaki Matsuri Festival 2017, Biennale Plakatu Polskiego 2017.
Patrycja Longawa has won 70 awards, honorable mentions and nominations at home and abroad, the most important of which are: 1st award for the poster entitled "Never Forget 1914", II International Poster Exhibition, Germany, 2014, 1st prize, at Ogaki Matsuri Festival International poster competition, Japan 2017, Top 10 best posters for Ocean Protection, International Poster Competition "Poster for", China, 2018, 2nd place, NAZARETH Festival of Arts and Culture, Iran, 2018, 2nd place in Theater Poster Contest, 2018. She was a juror at the following international competitions: 2019 Award Announcement for Poster Design Competition, Escucha Mi Voz Poster Contest 2019, Ecuador poster biennale 2020.
