Krzysztof Lang - Lullaby Killer

Film director, screenwriter, producer. After earning his degree in Chemistry from the University of Warsaw, Lang graduated in TV and film directing from the Radio and Television Department at the University of Silesia in Katowice, Poland. Author of many popular TV series and theater plays, he has won numerous awards for his work. Lang co-owns and runs the production company TFT Studio and teaches at the Film and TV Department at the Silesian University.

Bartosz Blaschke - Sonata

Film director, writer of short films, documentaries, commercials and music videos, and director of photography. Graduated from the Cinematography Department of the University of Silesia in Katowice, Poland. His films were shown at many film festivals (e.g., Krakow Film Festival, Etiuda, Camerimage, Cottbus Film Festival, Offensiva, and more). In 2008, his short film “Ziętek” won the best documentary short award at the Austin Film Festival.

Aleksander Pietrzak - Black Sheep

Graduated in film directing from the Warsaw Film School. His diploma film Strong Coffee Is Not So Bad and a short film made in Munk Studio, Me and My Dad, won over 20 awards, including the Audience Award at the Heartland Film Festival in Indianapolis. His debut feature Juliusz, a black comedy qualified for the main competition at the Gdynia Film Festival, Poland. Currently, he teaches pre-production at the Warsaw Film School. Aleksander Pietrzak was a guest of the APFF 2018 with his film Strong Coffee Is Not So Bad.

Kinga Dębska - Back Then

Director and screenwriter with over 15 awards to her name. Graduate of FAMU in Prague and Japanese Studies at the University of Warsaw. Author of numerous documentaries including one about Elżbieta Czyżewska Actress, that received the Eagle Award for the Best documentary in 2016. Her debut feature Hel (2009) won the award for best screenplay at the “Young and Film” Festival.

Piotr Trzaskalski - For a Moment, Forever

Graduate of Cultural Studies at the University of Łódź and Directing at the Film School in Łódź. Since 1992, he has been working as a freelance artist mainly for television, authored and co-authored programs about art, music videos, and documentary films. Member of the European Film Academy since 2004, recipient of the Polityka Passport for his artistic activity. His feature debut film Edi (2002) won several awards at the Berlinale and the special Audience Award at the 2003 Polish Film Awards. His later film The Master (2005) won the FIPRESCI Prize at the Miami International Film Festival.

Michał Otłowski - The Tenant

Screenwriter, director, producer. Graduate of the Lodz Film School in Film Direction.

Jan P. Matuszyński - Leave No Traces

Graduated in Film Directing from the Radio Film and Television Department at the University of Silesia in Katowice. His documentary Deep Love won Best Documentary Award at the 36th IFF in Moscow and the Silver Horn award for Best Feature Documentary Film at the 54th Krakow FF. His feature debut, The Last Family, premiered at Locarno, where it won the Best Actor Award, and was screened at over 100 festivals worldwide winning many international awards. He also creates works for TV, his most recent series is The King of Warsaw (2020), produced by CANAL+. Leave No Traces is his second feature film.

Michał Kwieciński - Bodo

One of the most appreciated and experienced producers and directors in Poland. Graduate of the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Warsaw. Founder of the Akson Studio production house. Producer of dozens of plays and films, including the Oscar-nominated Katyn (dir. Wajda) and the renowned Warsaw ‘44 (dir. Komasa). He also directed operas for the stage of the Warsaw Chamber Opera. His documentaries are awarded in festivals in Poland and abroad. Wysoczański is the expert adviser for the Polish Film Institute.

Marek Osajda - Condemned To Poster Work

Journalist and documentary filmmaker with multiple awards to his name for both the journalistic writing and documentaries. Winner of the 2003 Journalist of the Year Award of West Pomerania and The Environmentalist of the Year in 1998. Known for creating films about outstanding artists associated with the city of Szczecin and the region. Editor of the collection of articles devoted to the state of the environment in northwestern Poland. Works for the daily newspaper “Kurier Szczecinski” and in television in Szczecin. Created ecological magazine „Zielona Arka”.
